I hoisted the heavy bow up onto my shoulder, the silver-coated tips glinting menacingly in the dull light that reflected through the small room. The walls were a familiar dull grey, and despite the mold that grew on the wall and the overall menacing look of the minute weaponry it was comforting, it was peaceful, it was home. Pulling my scarlet hair back into a ponytail I left the room, entering the main room in the enormous building we survivors called home. Everything seemed the same, grey walls, dim light, the smell of the dank air clinging to the inside of your nose as if the imminent promise of death was already upon you. This, was home.
